- Position Overview/Duties:
The INDC's Production Center, working within the Rock Island District's Engineering and Construction Division, is seeking an Interdisciplinary Tech Lead and Subject-Matter Expert. In this dynamic role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Serve as Technical Lead for complex projects on navigation locks and dams, specifically the Brandon Road Interbasin Project. This is a complex ecosystem protection effort designed to prevent upstream movement of invasive carp and other aquatic nuisance species into the Great Lakes from the Illinois Waterway. - Manages and oversees PDT(s), in conjunction with the INDC, to ensure design products are developed on schedule, comply with technical policies and guidance, and meet the project requirements.
- Provides technical input and guidance to the PDT(s), other internal elements, Architect-Engineer (A-E) consultants, and non-federal sponsors, as required.
The Inland Navigation Design Center (INDC) serves as the national center of expertise providing technical advice, oversight, and design production during planning, design, analysis, construction, and operations and maintenance of all aspects of inland navigation design projects across USACE.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for a temporary reassignment or promotion to the GS-13 grade level, applicants must demonstrate performing specialized experience for one year at the GS-12 level and meet the basic education qualification requirement for the appropriate series.
