  • Position Overview/Duties:
    • • Serves as Administrative Officer for the Tri-Lakes Project Office, reporting directly to the Operations Project Manager, supporting all Project staff including Engineering, Maintenance, Natural Resources, and Technical Section.
      • Ensures all administrative priorities are met and are in accordance with Operation Manager's goals.
      • Advises the Operations Manager of changes in interpretation, requirements and application of administrative regulations by higher authority, which affects the operation of their respective departments.
      • Serves as the budgetary authority, responsible for preparing and justifying the Project office's budget coordination and management. Formulates, reviews and revises annual operating budgets for the Project Office.
      • Monitors obligations and expenditures throughout the execution phase of the operating budgets.
      • Provides time and attendance reporting, mail, typing, correspondence, filing, supply, purchasing, warehousing, property accounting and clerical support to the Project staff.
      • Directs preparation and submission of required employment forms and requests for personnel actions as initiated by supervisors, including required justification or explanatory data.
      • Purchases a variety of administrative and general construction supplies, equipment, materials, and services through informal open market purchases needed for administrative, operation, improvements, replacements and maintenance activities.

Current, permanent USACE employees with noncompetitive eligibility to be placed in this position are eligible to apply. This Program may only be utilized for noncompetitive placements, to include voluntary reassignments, promotions not-to-exceed 120 days, voluntary changes to lower grade, details, and deployment opportunities. Employees interested in permanent or temporary promotions longer than 120 days must apply through USAJOBS, or other approved merit procedures or hiring authorities. Temporary or term employees and Department of Army Fellows assigned to USACE will not be considered for positions or assignments through VIOP.
