  • Position Overview/Duties:

    • This opportunity is being announced through the USACE Voluntary Internal Opportunities Program (VIOP). Current, permanent USACE employees with noncompetitive eligibility to be placed in this position are eligible to apply.       Duty Location: Assigned to Philadelphia, PA ( With Duty @ Dover Air Force Base, DE)

      Start date will be coordinated with current Supervisor.

      Major Duties and Responsibilities:

      Serves as a Construction Control Representative at a construction site responsible for the execution, control, and surveillance of contract operations of assigned military, civil works, HTRW and IIS construction projects, which include a wide variety of structures and facilities.

      • This position requires that the incumbent possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

      • Telework Eligible: Yes - as determined by the agency policy.
      • Appointment may be subject to suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
      • All positions require the applicant to be a citizen of the United States.
      • The duties of this position require travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
      • Depending on duty location, the incumbent may report to a Superfund site. Regardless of the duty station, the incumbent must complete an initial 40 hour and an 8-hour refresher OSHA training course for hazardous and toxic waste (HTRW)and other mandatory training courses.
      • A trial or probationary period may be required.
