Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as a Natural Resources Program Manager (shoreline chief ranger, GS-0401-11) at Hartwell Lake, a large multiple-purpose lake, which has extensive shoreline management/real estate programs, and substantial recreation activities, and high visitation by lake visitors. Shoreline management chief ranger is responsible execution of the shoreline management and real estate programs. Supervises 8 direct reports and reports to the Natural Resources Manager.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Veterans' preference does not apply to this announcement.

General Natural Resources Management and Biological Sciences Series 0401: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
