- Position Overview/Duties:
This opportunity is being announced through the USACE Voluntary Internal Opportunities Program (VIOP). Start date will be coordinated with current Supervisor.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as Resident Engineer with responsibility for the resident office management and supervision for construction of all projects assigned to that Resident Engineer field office. This includes a variety of "custom-built" facilities, Military construction projects and Sustainability, Restoration and Maintenance (SRM). Some structures require intensive planning and coordination of construction schedules to accommodate concurrent construction and operation of related facilities/systems.

- The duties of this position require travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
- PE License is required to be obtained within 2 years of position (if not already acquired).

- Requires obtaining and maintaining a Contracting Officers warrant to be an Administration Contracting Officer (ACO) or as an Authorized Representative of the Contracting Office (COR) within 24 months of entrance to position
- May require completion of government-provided 40 initial and an 8-hour refresher OSHA training for working on hazardous and toxic waste (HT W) sites.
- Must complete DAU courses to obtain Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) within 24 months of entrance into position
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Professional Engineer registration or Registered Architect License within 24 months of entrance to position.
- Construction sites are at different locations and employees are located at different sites to execute the construction program. Personnel may be physically remote from the Resident Office.
- A statement of financial interests must be submitted in accordance with AR-600-50, Chapter 3.
Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive - Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
