- Position Overview/Duties:
This is an internal announcement for a Business Operations Consultant, GS-0301-14, in the South Atlantic Division, Headquarters, Business Management Division.
Position Title: Business Operations Consultant
Who May Apply: This position is only open to CURRENT, PERMANENT USACE EMPLOYEES. You must be a GS-13 or GS-14 to qualify.
Open Period: 7-20 August 2025
Project start date: On or about 7 September 2025.
Duty Location: Atlanta, GA

- Current permanent USACE GS-14 will be considered for details at the same grade (up to 120 days).
- Current permanent GS-13 will be considered for temporary promotions not to exceed 120 days.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain regional experience and understanding of a variety of programs and services, including Workload-Workforce Analysis, USACE Project Delivery Business Process, Business Analytics, Quality and Process Improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) South Atlantic Division (SAD) lead for Data Analysis, Workload-Workforce Management, USACE Project Delivery Business Processes, Quality, Knowledge management and Business Process Improvement. Responsible for administering and executing each of these programs. Responsible for exercising knowledge, judgment, and critical thinking in addressing and understanding situations critical to improve or enhance delivery of programs and projects across the Region. Additionally, incumbent is responsible for briefing SAD senior leadership on all aforementioned subject matters, including at the SAD Regional Command Council and Regional Management Board. Participates in Division, regional, and national-level meeting workshops, committees, professional conferences, inter-agency panels, and boards for exchange of information and advice for all responsible subject areas.

Minimum Experience: The ideal candidate should have experience in project controls, project management, resource management or business analytics with an understanding of the USACE Project Delivery Business Process (PDBP) and familiarity with the P2/PROMIS automated information system. Experience or understanding of data analytics, data visualization, process improvement and knowledge management is also necessary for this position.
