Who May Apply: This position is open to CURRENT, PERMANENT USACE EMPLOYEES ONLY. You must be a GS-11 or GS-12 to qualify.
Duty Location: Jacksonville, FL.
- Interested candidates should provide their resume in TARP, and be prepared to provide current SF-50 and first and second level supervisor endorsement upon request.
- Current permanent USACE GS-12 will be considered for details at the same grade (up to 6 months) or reassignment.
- Current permanent GS-11 will be considered for temporary promotions not to exceed 120 days.
Duties:
- Contract document development (i.e. calculations, coordination, DDR, ECIFP, Plans, Specifications)
- Site investigations and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Other Information:
Serves as an electrical engineer specialist for the civil works, military projects, and projects to support other government agencies. Civil Works projects include pumping plant facilities, multipurpose dams, navigation locks, visitor facilities, recreational vehicle parks, cranes/hoists, large volume pump stations, reservoirs, channels, levees, water control and conveyance facilities. Military projects include barracks, dining facilities, sustainable generation, water treatment facilities, vehicle maintenance facilities, training/classrooms, and administration facilities. Utilizing a professional knowledge of the principles, theories, and practices of electrical engineering, incumbent performs difficult and complex electrical engineering duties in preparation and review of electrical engineering designs, design analyses, definite project reports, specifications, cost estimates, and drawings for contract construction of electrical equipment and distribution systems for military and civil works projects.
