- Position Overview/Duties:
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Serves as the Chief, Maintenance Management Section, supervising the activities of the approximately 20 employees who maintain, repair,and improve the floating plant and associated equipment, and outlet structures at the multi-purpose projects in the Wilmington District.
Oversees a broad range of management responsibilities related to the maintenance and repair of all District fleet, to include two shallow draft dredges and a multipurpose vessel, and an Engineer Repair Yard.
Mange maintenance needs, planning, scheduling, and budget; coordination and customer care with internal and external customers,maintaining up to date as-built technical drawings for all vessels; projecting and managing the repair and Plant Replacement and Improvement Program (PRIP) budgets for all floating plant, and ensures compliance of Facility Equipment and Maintenance System (FEM)requirements.
Responsible for organizational management and administrative activities throughout the section.Responsible for the Maintenance Management Sections Safety Program.
