Position Overview/Duties
The Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers, Internal Review Office is seeking interested candidates for reassignment, detail, or 120-day temporary promotion to serve as an Auditor, GS-0511-13 or 14.
This announcement is being advertised within TARP under the Voluntary Internal Opportunities Program (VIOP/Non-Comp) hiring authority; all applicants must submit their application through the TARP/YELLO platform.
Open/Closing dates: 16 – 22 May 2025.
Duty Location: USACE Office location – duty location determined upon selection.
Duties and Responsibilities: Developmental assignment opportunity to act as a Lead Auditor or Audit Manager in HQ USACE, primarily responsible for leading/managing complex, headquarters-level IR projects/program, including:
Developing effective milestones to efficiently complete IR projects in 1-3 months.
Executing all phases (including planning, fieldwork, and reporting) of IR evaluation project(s) for key IIJA/DRSAA projects.
Collaborating with HQ USACE Supplemental Team and counterparts across USACE to confirm IR work and refine as needed.
Coordinating with USACE IR to deconflict planned IR work and update local commands on CEIR IIJA/DRSAA evaluations in their area of responsibility.
Writing IR reports and briefing leaders (GS-15/O-6+).
Serving as a resource for IR auditors performing local IR projects on IIJA/DRSAA.
Demonstrating initiative and strategic thinking to enhance the value of IIJA/DRSAA IR projects to stakeholders.
The selected auditor must be able to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment. During the developmental assignment, the selected auditor work alongside CEIR’s IIJA/DRSAA Audit Manager and report to the Deputy Director and Director.
EVALUATION CRITERIA: Applicants will be evaluated based on the strength of their qualifications. Qualified candidates may be called for an interview.

Minimum Experience Requirement: At least 1yr working as a 0511 at GS-12 Grade level or similar experience.
