120-Day Detail/Temp Promotion, Small Business Program Assistant Director (GS-1102-14) with The South Atlantic Division (SAD), Office of Small Business Programs, South Atlantic Division in Atlanta, GA
This position is open to current USACE employees only. The position is located in Atlanta, GA, however alternate duty location will be considered for the 120-day detail. The assignment will begin on/about 1 August 2025, not to exceed 120 Days.

Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as a supervisory Small Business Program Assistant Director for the Office of Small Business Programs (this includes Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) Small Businesses, and Small Disadvantaged Businesses, as well as Labor Surplus Areas). Serves as the program business advisor to senior leaders at the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Division Commanders, and other senior leaders in a matrix organization, requiring interface across multiple disciplines and functional structures. The incumbent is senior business advisor on assigned programs, financial management and small business program advocate to subordinate organizations.

This opportunity is being announced through the USACE Voluntary Internal Opportunities Program (VIOP). Current, permanent USACE employees with noncompetitive eligibility to be placed in this position are eligible to apply. Minimum Education Requirement/Requirement:
Completion of all mandatory training prescribed by the head of the agency for progression to GS-13 or higher-level contracting positions, including at least 4-years' experience in contracting or related positions. At least 1 year of that experience must have been specialized experience at or equivalent to work at the next lower level of the position, and must have provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the work of the position.

A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management

Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
