Position Overview/Duties

  • Serve as a construction representative responsible for accomplishing a wide variety of design changes and reviewing contract plans and specifications, shop drawings, and other contractor submittals.
  • Prepare contract modifications originating in the field or directed as a result of change in design or work. Prepare comparative cost estimates, negotiations, and a record of results.
  • Participate in construction conferences to answer any inquiries regarding work specifications and furnish information on scheduling, progress reports, periodic payment, and contract modification requirements.
  • Oversee field efforts in quality assurance. Direct inspections of construction operations at all stages for compliance with intent of design and specifications. Arranges for and participates in acceptance inspections.
  • Enforce safety provisions of contract specifications; instruct the contractor on safe work practices and take action to eliminate safety hazards. Investigate and report accidents resulting in injury or property damage.

One year trial/probationary period may be required.

This position requires the incumbent to possess a valid Stateside driver's license. Medical Clearance through the Department of State is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a VISA and Diplomatic Passport.

The position requires DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification. SC Case Life Cycle Management (AOC) Basic Level must be completed within 1 year of entrance on duty.
