Position Overview/Duties

Responsibilities/Duties:

Will serve as a senior specialist and hydro survey computation technical advisor. Providing timely, quality execution, coordination, and distribution of all hydro survey computation activities for the section. Coordinating with all construction activities and participating in accurate resolution of contract-related technical issues. Mentoring and providing expert advisory services to junior employees

Qualification Requirements:

To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience:

Surveying and mapping of water infrastructures to plan, design, and construction of civil works projects; participating in the reviews of all mapping surveys; and drafting data analysis report.

Conditions of Employment:

  • TDY is 20% for regular visits to construction, industrial, or other outdoor sites.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License from any of the 50 states or its territories.
  • May be required to operate boats/vessels less than 26" in length in accordance with ER 385-1-91, including satisfying all requirements therein.
  • Incumbent is required to wear protective equipment and/or clothing (e.g., hard hat, coveralls, gloves, safety footwear, personal flotation device) as appropriate.
  • Work outside the office involves exposure to the elements, walking over rough, uneven surfaces, climbing, stooping, bending, standing, and entering confined spaces.
  • Exposure to moderate risks and discomforts such as dust, strong odors or fumes from fuels, chemicals, or engine exhaust, high levels of noise and vibration, dust, grease, electrical hazards, uncovered moving parts of machinery, moving machinery, and outdoor conditions involving moderate exposure to rain and cold/hot weather.
  • Lifting of light to moderately heavy items weighing less than 50 pounds
