Position Overview/Duties
Duties:
• Develops Natural Resource concept plans for improvements in operations and efficiency.
• Acts as the primary advisor to the Operations Project Manager concerning natural resources conservation matters.
• Coordinates development of Natural Resource phases of the Operational Management Plan (OMP), Master Plan (MP), Environmental Initiatives, Special Studies, Real Estate Instruments, etc.
• Reviews plans proposed by others on Government land or private land subject to Government flowage easements.
• Provides input for and/or develops applicable portions of Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Statements as required by the National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and other federal regulations.
• Develops annual Public Relations program.
• Develops and administers a program to monitor and secure the integrity of project lands.
• Serves as the Operations Project Manager's on-site advisor regarding environmental compliance matters and is responsible for project's environmental compliance program.

This job opportunity is open to CURRENT, PERMANENT USACE EMPLOYEES ONLY. This opportunity is being announced through the USACE Voluntary Internal Opportunities Program (VIOP). • This is a mandatory drug Testing Designated Position (TDP), in accordance with ER 690-1-1218, USACE Civilian Drug Free Workplace Program, dated 30 June 2021. Participation in the Mandatory Drug Testing Program is required.
• This position requires that the incumbent possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• Incumbent may be required to work weekends and holiday schedules.
• This position may require you to wear a prescribed uniform while in a duty status.
• This position requires the following training/certifications prior to employment or within a specified period of time after appointment:
• Must obtain a US Army Corps of Engineers Motorboat Operator's License upon employment.
