Position Overview/Duties

The GS-06 Administrative Support Assistant for the Hydrology and Hydraulics Branch in the Engineering and Construction Division, Nashville District, serves as a key administrative authority responsible for a wide range of office management, program support, and operational functions.

  • Manages correspondence, reports, records, and general office operations.
  • Serve as primary timekeeper and coordinates travel and generates associated reports for recordkeeping.
  • Assists with awards, training, and recruitment documentation.
  • Handles procurement and maintains property accountability. Preparing purchase requests and recommending acquisition methods.
  • Maintaining inventory records, conducting inventories, and processing property documentation.

  • Minimum Experience Requirement:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and automated administrative systems such as CEFMS.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
    • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% or less.
