Position Overview/Duties

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) announcement for multiple Interdisciplinary (Project Engineers) in the South Atlantic Division, Savannah District, Construction Division.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Serves as Project Engineer with responsibility for monitoring construction operations on assigned projects for the Resident Office(s). Assigned projects have civil, mechanical, electrical and architectural features and criteria. Duties and responsibilities of the position require a thorough knowledge of engineering and architectural theory and practices and the making of engineering determinations concerning the various features of the work.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Minimum Education Requirement:

Engineering: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering. The program must: lead to a degree in a school with at least one program accredited by ABET. Degree must be documented on a transcript.

Architecture: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study or specific course requirements.

Specialized Experience:

Experienced Project Engineer skilled in managing multidisciplinary construction projects—civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural. Proven success in handling change orders, ensuring EM 385-1-1 safety compliance, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget. Adept at applying engineering principles to solve complex construction challenges.
