Position Overview/Duties

Will Serve as Chief, Military and Environmental Remediation Section within Programs Management Branch, Planning, Programs and Project Management Division, supervising a group of Program Analysts who are engaged in life-cycle program management of projects. Performs a wide range of current year and multi-year programming and funds management in support of programs. Coordinates directly with Project Managers (PM's) and Section, Branch and Division Chiefs throughout the District on overall Military and ER program issues. Allocates funds for project execution, in pre-construction project phases. Includes providing control of direct charges to the projects in accordance with Policies; requests/revokes excess funds and prepares billings when appropriate. Takes appropriate actions to receive and reviews funds for project status and year-end closeout. Ensures the development of the District military annual and multi-year programs by preparing future funding requirements of military programs.

Minimum Experience Requirement: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Experience applying policy, regulatory guidance and fiscal law to various customer work acceptance process and mission assignments; 2) Experience managing work assignments at least cost and maximum efficiency; and 3) Experience with financial management systems, such as report validation, monitoring program execution, resourcing and budgeting.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
