Position Overview/Duties

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Monitoring Financial Execution: Generate and review routine execution reports to help track funding status; support Program Managers in addressing execution issues and variances under supervision.
  • Support Fund Management and Closeout: Assist Regional Integrators (RIs) with fund cleanup activities; help coordinate with Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) for cost transfers or fund recovery as directed.
  • Process Financial Transactions: Process funds repositioning requests, and draft Purchase Request and Commitment (PR&C) documents and Work Instructions (WIs) under the guidance of senior specialists.
  • Track Funds Movement: Assist in tracking the end-to-end movement of program and project funds, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain Civil Works Information System (CWIFD) Data: Perform data entry and quality control (QC) checks within the CWIFD database to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support Program Guidance Updates: Assist in updating and distributing organizational financial guidance and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Contribute to Capability Assessments: Help review and assess technical capabilities to support the development of Effects Statements for leadership.
  • Maintain Standardized Funding Workflows: Utilize and maintain standardized tracking mechanisms to assist Program Managers in transmitting and tracking funds.
  • Provide Programmatic Support: Act as a supporting point of contact for Program Managers, helping to answer inquiries regarding funds management and execution with guidance from senior staff.

Skills

  • Financial Tracking: Ability to generate reports and assist with monitoring financial execution to identify variances.
  • Funds Management Support: Experience in supporting the lifecycle of funds, including repositioning, clean-up, and close-out procedures.
  • Budgetary Processing: Skill in drafting and processing financial documentation, such as Purchase Requests & Commitments (PR&Cs), in compliance with fiscal policies.
  • Data Entry and Quality Control: Experience with data entry and quality control (QC) within information systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Process Documentation: Ability to help document financial workflows and Work Instructions (WIs) to improve efficiency.
  • Guidance Support: Capable of assisting in the revision and dissemination of program guidance and SOPs.
  • Stakeholder Assistance: Ability to provide timely and accurate support to program managers on financial inquiries.
  • Team Communication: Skill in effectively communicating with team members and stakeholders to coordinate actions.
  • Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify and report programmatic and financial issues while collaborating with senior staff to find solutions.

Position Status: Temporary, Time-limited assignment not to exceed 180-days but may be extended up to 1 year.
