Position Overview/Duties

Description of Assignment: Serves as the lead administrative assistant of the Chief, Planning and Environmental Division, also supporting the Chief, Plan Formulation Branch consisting of the Plan Formulation and Economics Analysis Teams, or the Chief, Military Planning and Environmental Compliance Branch. Assists the Chiefs and/or Teams in the management of administrative functions. The incumbent has technical responsibility for all administrative and clerical work of both branches and the Division Chief. Has overall responsibility for assuring Mobilie District administrative and correspondence guidance is understood and followed. Is responsible for following the established administrative procedures and improving those procedures where feasible.

Qualifications: 1 year equivalent to the GS-06 level.Current Competitive Service employees of the Mobile District who currently hold or have previously held a GS-06 or higher or equivalent for 52 weeks.

NOTE: Service preceding 12 months on a temporary promotion counts against a new 120-day temporary promotion.
