This is an internal announcement for a Secretary, GS-0318-09, in the South Atlantic Division, Jacksonville District.

Who May Apply: This position is open to CURRENT, PERMANENT USACE EMPLOYEES ONLY. You must be a GS-09 to qualify.

  • Current permanent USACE GS-09 will be considered for reassignments at the same grade.

Position Overview/Duties:

  • Receives office visitors and telephone calls and based on organizational knowledge directs caller or visitor to the appropriate source.
  • Maintains automated appointment calendars and exercises judgment over priorities and schedules. Schedules appointments and meetings.
  • Utilizes automation such as electronic mail, time and attendance, financial systems, and other DoD programs.
  • Prepares and assembles briefing materials for meetings and conferences, independently following up on tasks resulting from meetings/conferences.
  • Assist in the preparation of itineraries and logistical support plans for trips/visits by Congressional members, members of their staff or other higher level Government officials.
  • Prepare travel vouchers, reports, and submissions for payment utilizing automated financial systems
