Position Overview/Duties

Come serve as a Geologist for Task Force VIPR! 
 
Incumbent will serve as Senior Geologist for blasting and quarry investigation/development, and technical advisor for engineering aspects of geologic investigations programs throughout the TF VIPR. Utilizes a broad and varied design experience in projects involving tunneling, design of deep foundations bearing on rock, rock slope design, gravity structures bearing on rock, reinforcement, foundation treatment and quarry development. Based on a comprehensive knowledge of geological and engineering policies and techniques, incumbent provides expertise and guidance to key officials and counterparts in the TF VIPR. This includes participation in major issue Review Conferences and membership on major Independent Review Teams.
