Position Overview/Duties

  • NAU Europe District
    Lead Resident Office in contract administration and supervision of interdisciplinary team. Represent organization at a variety of meetings, reviews, and conferences on large interdisciplinary projects.
  • Interpret contract specifications pertaining to construction phase to determine whether construction meets contract requirements.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with contract schedules, plans, specifications, and submittals to avoid delays in construction. Evaluate contractor quality control systems to ensure compliance to building code regulations.
  • Prepare various reports and correspondence such as progress payments, contract modification, delays in construction, etc., as related to field construction activities.
  • Conduct review of plans for conformance to Department of Defense standards, project criteria, and safety codes.

Other Conditions and Requirements

 

  • Current USACE personnel only. Reassignment - same series and grade; no promotions available.
  • IAW ER 1110-1-8152, this position requires the incumbent to possess a current/valid Professional Engineer Certificate or Architect Registration
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a valid US Tourist and Official passport for the duration of employment.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed
    This position may require the incumbent be appointed Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) with approval authority to execute contract modifications.
  • TDY is approximately up to 25%
