Position Overview/Duties
Statement of Position Duties:
- Serves as the Budget Officer in the ERDC Directorate of Resource Management.
- Responsible for the supervision of 2 Team leads and ~16 budget analysts.
- Oversee the development and analysis of direct program for ERDC including military direct Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDTE) and Operation Maintenance, Army (OMA), USACE civil works direct that directly impact Laboratories.
- Provides expert advice on revolving funds, reimbursable funds, general and administrative (G&A), military and civil works funding.
- Provide expert advice on G-Invoicing – training and disseminating information to the labs.
- Coordinate closely with the Director of Resource Management, providing advice, recommendations of operating processes and input on process that will enhance the ERDC budget process and ensure accuracy and validity of all related products.
- Provide expert advice on all phases of budgeting and funds management, fiscal requirements for a variety of source appropriations, methods of acceptance, to include fiscal law, policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the Budget mission and functions.
Other Conditions and Requirements
The Directorate of Resource Management (DRM) at the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) has a need to temporarily fill the position of Budget Officer, DJ-0560-04, located in Vicksburg, MS, Champaign, IL, Alexandria, VA, or Hanover, NH, for up to 180 days. All interested permanent USACE employees are encouraged to consider and apply for this opportunity.
Multiple actors may be selected to cover the time to fill the position permanently. The temporary actions may be any of the following: Temporary Promotion, Detail or Temporary Reassignment as determined by Management and the CPAC.
Area of Consideration: This opportunity is open to all permanent USACE employees.
TDY or Temporary Change of Station costs will not be considered in filling this temporary assignment.
