Position Overview/Duties
- NAU Europe District
- This Supervisory Engineer or Architect position will serve as the Area Engineer for the Poland Area Office located In Poznan, Poland. The position reports directly to the Division Chief, Special Programs Integration Division, Europe District, and exercises independent authority and judgement to accomplish the Europe District mission.
- Responsible for overseeing construction management and contract administration for the Area Office. Apply full range of professional engineering knowledge and judgement, coupled with advanced knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
- Plan and establish work priorities and schedules. Prepare budgetary estimates and provide justifications to obtain program resources. Make independent decisions on work issues presented by subordinate supervisors.
- Initiate requests for personnel actions, e.g., awards, salary increases, additional training, reassignments, etc. Responsible for implementation District, Division, and Headquarters' policies concerning equal employment opportunities and programs.
- Develop performance standards for subordinate supervisors. Evaluate supervisors and reviews evaluations made by supervisors on employees. Makes personnel selections utilizing the selection process for supervisory and non-supervisory positions.
Other Conditions and Requirements
- Current USACE personnel only, same Series-Grade. If chosen, action will result in Internal USACE Reassignment.
- A current Professional License (PE or Architecture)
- Incumbent is required to possess and maintain a current/valid Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/registration.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% for official duties/training. - This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce position. You must meet position requirements for Practitioner career level certification in Contracting within 5 years of entrance on duty.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. - Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license and USAREUR driver's license.
- Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a valid US Tourist and Official passport for the duration of employment.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a SECRET security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
