Position Overview/Duties

Position serves as a Project Manager for assigned international services and military project management for Task Force VIPR. Assigned International Programs include enterprise services for US Southern Command, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Security Assistance, Foreign Military Sales, Foreign Military Financing, Department of State,  Department of Commerce, US Agency to International Development, the Caribbean and other federal partners. These projects/programs are located throughout the Task Force VIPR regional boundaries (some customers require nationwide and international enterprise services) which encompasses the Caribbean AOR.  This area is diverse in its geography, physical, biological and socio-economic environment. Projects span several to many years and may have sensitive issues affecting or establishing national policy. The variety and complexities of projects within the assigned projects require an extensive knowledge of project/program management concepts, principles, methods, and practices, a thorough knowledge of planning, programming, predesign, design and construction processes, as well as engineering and science disciplines to achieve scheduling, funding and program and project goals; and to ensure use of optimum approaches which meet established criteria

Other Conditions and Requirements

This is a DETAIL assignment. You will be detailed to a set of duties. This is not a promotion opportunity. You may apply at any grade, however the work detailed to will be at the GS-13 level. You will remain on your home station rolls for the duration of the detail, with funding provided for your labor and TDY to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Minimum Experience Requirement: One Year at the GS-12 level
