Position Overview/Duties

As a MULTIMEDIA/VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST, you will play a critical role in supporting St. Paul District by designing the district's visual information material, including print and digital.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing creative concepts through study of proposed projects and selecting appropriate graphic, illustration, photographic and video techniques or any combination to be assembled into visual and digital products.
  • Developing concepts, layouts and designs through frequent coordination and interface with customer, preparing final designs and completing arrangements for publication or reproduction and furnishes completed product to customer.
  • Providing AV/multimedia support at the customer’s requested location.
  • Setting up and operating professional audio systems to control the level and maintains the sound quality, operating large format and portable sound, playback and recording equipment, mixing and optimizing sound to produce acceptable aural and artistic quality.
  • Following all guidance and regulations pertaining to property accountability to ensure property inventory is completed within assigned timeframes. which can include equipment setup and dismantling for events, troubleshooting for malfunctioning equipment, basic maintenance of equipment, etc.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the federal service. This experience must include:

  • Research, design, and preparation of original creative products, both printed and digital, that enhance communications efforts.
  • Provide digital photography and videography services during official events and for public affairs products.
  • Perform photo and video editing and serve as the technical expert in video pre- and post-production.
  • Set-up and operate professional audio systems to control the level and maintains the sound quality during an event.
  • Receive project assignments and ensure that project schedules are maintained, and all milestones are met.
  • Maintain and operate all visual information software and equipment.
