Position Overview/Duties

Training Coordinator – Navigation Division (Internal USACE VIOP candidates)

In this dynamic role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Research and coordinate a wide range of training programs, including mandatory OSHA and USCG courses, license upgrades, and specialized technical development.
• Collaborate with managers to analyze training needs and craft solutions that are both effective and cost-efficient—whether that means bringing in expert trainers or sending staff to top-tier external training programs.
• Skillfully manage training schedules alongside operational work plans, with a unique focus on aligning with our dredge schedule to minimize downtime and maximize learning impact.
• Maintain a Training Government Purchase Card, keeping all certifications current and ensuring seamless training procurement and compliance.
• Play a key role in the division’s budgeting process by providing critical input on annual training allocations, directly influencing our team’s growth and success.

This opportunity is being announced through the USACE Voluntary Internal Opportunities Program (VIOP). Current, permanent USACE employees with noncompetitive eligibility to be placed in this position are eligible to apply.
