Position Title: Supervisory Realty Specialist GS-1170-13

Who May Apply: This opportunity is open to CURRENT, PERMANENT USACE EMPLOYEES ONLY. You must be a GS-13 or eligible for GS-13 for promotion consideration.

 

Duty Location: Fort Worth District, Fort Worth, TX – salary and any travel will be funded by the Fort Worth District.

 


 

  • Interested candidates should submit their resume in TARP and be prepared to provide a current SF-50 and first and second-level supervisor endorsements upon request.
  • Current permanent USACE GS-13 employees will be considered for reassignment or temporary reassignment.
  • Current permanent GS-12 employees will be considered for temporary promotions not to exceed 120 days.

 


 

Duties: 

  • The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Realty Specialist in one of several Sections of the Interagency Services Branch, providing expert technical support for conducting research, reviewing title, drafting agreements, performing inspections and conducting data entry into automated information systems for federal real estate acquisitions for interagency customers.  Responsibilities may include:
  • Leading and training teams in the acquisition of federal interests in real property.
  • Planning cradle to grave acquisitions of federal real property interests.
  • Performing negotiations and drafting agreements with interested parties.
  • Performing due diligence searches of title and clearing encumbrances.
  • Managing federal interests in real property.
  • Managing schedules and budgets for multidisciplinary teams performing these tasks.
  • Performing inspections of property.
  • Knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods and practices. 
  • Sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work.
  • Manages a section of 15-18 full time employees.
  • As a program manager, directs and ensures quality of program execution done by other GS-12-13 equivalent employees. 
  • Requires broad real estate background and experience in various functions.
  • Provide technical QC oversight on work conducted throughout program. Provide oversight and direction to junior level staff.
  • Serves as a Program Manager.
  • Serves as an expert on real estate policy matters.
  • Reviews completed work for conformance to policy and established procedures.
  • Reviews and monitors overall program execution. 
  • Writing scopes of work.
  • Reviewing contract specifications and providing technical consultation on survey/appraisal/title.
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders on real estate matters.
  • This position requires fieldwork throughout the Fort Worth District and may involve travel up to 25%.
