Position Overview/Duties

You will serve as the Supervisory Engineer for the Integrated Project Office — Chickamauga Lock Mega Project and duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Serve as the Mega Project Team Chief for a major design and construction program.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate activities of regional and national USACE support for a multibillion-dollar design and construction program.
- Oversee the development of all Mega Projects to ensure optimum product schedule, cost, scope, acquisition plan, budget, and quality control.
Conduct periodic review and analysis of the projects to understand and provide briefings to others and compare progress with objectives and established milestones.

- In addition to meeting the minimum education requirements above, you must also meet the following experience requirements. To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, your resume must show. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service which includes: Managing activities for design and construction programs; providing organizational and staff leadership in developing project schedules, budgets, manpower needs, and milestones for programming and project management purposes; advising on all phases of engineering design and construction of major civil works projects; and developing project goals and objectives in conjunction with project customers and other stakeholders.
- A Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is required.

Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees)applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
