Position Overview/Duties

Serves as an ERDC-level Program Officer for research.  

  • Establishes and implements a corporate approach to technical program formulation, analysis, review, and documentation for ERDC’s Civil Works direct portfolio.  
  • Assists ERDC’s Technical Directors in ensuring that through planning and programming Civil Works programs are aligned to USACE and Army objectives.  
  • Tracks technical program execution and performance to ensure research programs are executing to plan.  
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Analyzes direct and reimbursable programs to identify linkages within the corporate portfolio that can be leveraged for future opportunities.  
  • Provides leadership and direction in the preparation of ERDC-level responses to data calls and other actions, to include Congressional coordination, concerning the Civil Works research programs.  
  • Performs a wide range of other duties in support of the Chief, Programs Office.
  • DJ-05 position duties/responsibilities are equivalent to GS-15.

Nominees will be selected based on the following qualifications:

  • Experience working across multiple groups/organizations to achieve a common goal.
  • Experience in strategic planning, metric development, review, and analysis.
  • Experience with PDBP, P2, CWIFD, and 2101.
  • Interviews will be conducted as needed.
