Position Overview/Duties

Position Title: Lead Biologist, GS-XXXX-13 (105811)

Duty Location(s): Savannah, GA

Duties:

Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of all phases of assigned projects. Leads and mentors other project managers on the execution of marine and complex projects and programs. Serves as the District's primary point of contact for marine and complex projects and programs including any port authority project and represents the district with customers, other agencies, congressional representatives, and other external organizations and higher authorities. Applies an extensive technical knowledge of coastal and maritime resources, other local, state and federal agency processes, requirements, laws and regulations to execute regulatory projects and decision making. Assures projects and programs are processed in accordance with management and Regulatory program goals. Coordinates with other marine and complex projects and programs specialists across the Corps and other agencies. Also, assures early/advanced identification of complex and unique project and program issues and then develops and executes solutions to those issues. Solutions for programmatic issues will significantly improve future conditions.

Other Conditions and Requirements

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section 9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
